Over the years both myself, family and friends have purchased over a dozen prestige vehicles from Thompson Prestige. Every time they have provided excellent service and expert advice in ensuring that we purchased a vehicle suited to our needs. All the vehicles have been top quality and terrific value for money. They have also provided excellent extended warranty options and super competitive assistance with finance when required. On the rare occasion that a problem occurred with a vehicle, they were prompt and helpful in finding a solution.

I came from Ballarat to trade in my 4WDcar, and both Luk and Peter were friendly and welcoming. The prices they offered for my trade-in and the vehicle I purchased were fair, and they were very patient throughout the process as I needed a very healthy 4WD. Best Car dealer in Melbourne!!!!!!!
Driving 4 hrs to find a car for my daughter's 18th in one day seems an enviable task. We headed straight to Thompson Prestige and they made this task easy.
Peter was amazing from the very start. Very professional, yet casual (no pressure) made our life easy with great communication and made the sale of a car for my daughter stress free.
Happy to deal with Peter again.
I did a trade in and couldn't believe how easy it was!
Luke @ Thompson Prestige was a quality guy with quality used cars of all types. This is the best,cleanest,well represented dealership in Car City.
Being a family owned and operated business related to us and would to many people. This a main reason for purchasing a car off them.
Only negative was Luke's AFL team.......LOL 😂

Just bought my Scirocco R from Peter Bentley here. The car is absolutely fantastic really enjoyed it, but what makes it even better is Peter himself. Great salesperson, incredibly helpful with making the interstate purchase easy and doable. Peter was kind and accommodating, being very personal with us about his career and his collections, giving me as a Motorsports/car fanatic peace of mind that I was in safe hands with Peter. I have bought glc43 from here I drove it home parked in garage had very few minor trips on it and engine light came on . I drove it back to them as it happened in 2 week period time.they got it fixed I drove it back home parked in garage 4,5 days later engine light came back again .I drove it back to them they told me to drive to there machnic who fixed it by saying thermostat need changing . At some point of time they wanna use my extended warranty instead of there 3 month warranty from purchase. Just for my mental peace I drove it to my own car machnic and got car checked and car battery need replacement drive shaft cupling is broken really wonder how it passed roadworthy an then found the cheap repair done by Thompson suggested car machnic used wrong colour car coolant . I had bad experience with them they behave really good when selling once sold the vehicle to u different behaviour changes lamb to Lion very quick .if you are looking to buy and don't wanna lose your mental peace this is not the place or you can still buy from here just keep some money handy on side

I recently purchased an Alfa Romeo Giulietta from Thompson Prestige Car Sales, and overall my experience was very positive. John was genuinely lovely to deal with — very friendly, honest, and accommodating throughout the process. When I noticed the air conditioning wasn’t working, he immediately offered to have it regassed, and he also offered to do an oil and filter change after the RedBook inspection noted the oil was low. His willingness to address concerns upfront made the buying process feel comfortable and transparent.
After purchasing the car, I took it to an Alfa specialist who unfortunately found some issues that hadn’t been picked up earlier: cracked lower control arm bushes (which likely caused the steering wheel vibration at higher speeds), a leaking vacuum pump (which explained the aircon problem), and overdue timing belts. Some of these issues were surprising given that the car had passed a RWC, and others were things John likely wouldn’t have known about given the car’s regular service history.
While these repairs ended up being quite expensive and did leave me with a bit of a sour taste, I still want to acknowledge that my experience with the dealership itself was positive. John was pleasant, straightforward, and helpful, and I believe he acted in good faith. I just would have preferred to be aware of the underlying mechanical issues before purchasing.
Overall, a good dealership with honest service — just make sure to get a thorough independent inspection for peace of mind.
